Our Love Story

It all started in sunny San Diego at English school, where Tereza and Yannick became friends on the very first day — with absolutely no idea of what life had planned for them. They spent unforgettable months learning English, exploring the city, and getting to know each other. Along with their friends, they even got a little 619 tattoo, a small reminder of where everything began… still unaware that this adventure would turn into a lifetime together.

After being apart for a while, Yannick traveled to Brazil for the first time to visit Tereza — and to experience the Brazilian carnival. He didn’t just fall in love with the energy of carnival; he fell in love with Tereza… and with Rio, which remains his favorite place in Brazil and their shared magical spot.

Knowing their connection was something special, they both moved to London to see how life together would feel. And it felt great — even if the conditions weren’t exactly luxurious. With little money and a tiny room in a shared flat, they built a home together and enjoyed the vibrant London city life. It became one of the best chapters of their journey.

But after a year, Covid changed everything, forcing them into their first big goodbye as Tereza had to return to Brazil. For eight long months, they lived separate lives once again but stayed deeply connected, talking every single day. Those months apart made it clear: what they had was strong. Yannick remained in London a bit longer before returning home to Switzerland.

From then on, their love found a rhythm between Brazil and Switzerland — months together in Switzerland, visits to Rio, and countless airport reunions filled with excitement and emotion. Even with oceans and time zones between them, they never missed a day of speaking, even if it was just for a quick two-minute call. It was their daily anchor.

Along this winding journey, they shared some unforgettable (and unintentionally funny) adventures while discovering each other’s worlds. Tereza had her first ski lesson… and let’s just say it may take a few more. Yannick bravely tried open-sea swimming in Brazil and quickly confirmed that deep water is not his natural environment.

United by a love for travel, they explored many beautiful places together, but Greece stole their hearts — especially the island of Paros. Its calm and charm made it “their place,” where they felt at peace and fell for each other all over again. From beaches to snowy mountains, from two friends in San Diego to partners across continents, every step brought them closer.

Finally, Yannick popped the question — in early 2025 in Zug, during a very intimate and beautifully unexpected moment – and Tereza said YES without any doubt.

And now, surrounded by the people they love, they celebrate finally coming home to each other.
